STUDIO REPORT A big Texas yeeeeeehaaaaahhh to y'aaaaaallll! We've been in Dallas for five days now, but it feels like an eternity. Our project has been an emotional ride so far. If what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I will return home capable of lifting a pregnant rhinocerous. The band has certainly grown together on this trip. From sharing hotel rooms for 2 weeks to 12 hour studio sessions to writing songs at 11pm, we are becoming a tightly knit sweater. Or scarf, whatever your fancy. Most importanty, we are growing closer to God as a band. Our morning devotions have blessed us with opportunities to sit and reflect on God's goodness. And He is sooo good. Stories from the Road We left Michigan on Saturday night at 11:30pm. The roads were a winter wonderland of blowing snow and ice for ~3 hours. We got through St. Louis, Missouri before the sun rose. I was excited to see the big arch. We all agreed w/o doubt the arch was a gift aliens left for us 100's of years ago. We ate breakfast at 6am at McDonalds in Nowhereville, MS. It was the worst McDonalds ever. The food was terrible. However, the laughs were abundant. I was the victim of a rabid ketchup dispenser that exploded all over my face, sweatshirt, and jacket. Later, after eating, Cameron went to use the bathroom. This would not have been so funny had it not been for the fact he used the women's bathroom on accident. There was an elderly woman in one of the stalls while he was in the other. I would love to tell you we did tons of cool things during the rest of MS and OK but we didn't. There is nothing to tell. There is nothing to see. Just barren wasteland. Texas This is the first time any of us have been in Texas. Two things are very prevalent in TX: restaurants and gi-normous car dealerships. I've never seen so many restaurants. There must be 78 restaurants within two miles from our hotel. Oh, and the weather has been 75 to 80 degrees everyday. Fortunately, there is a decent breeze. Music Oh yeah, that's why we're here. I can't share a whole lot of specific info about our project. I can say we are actually going to have plenty of new music to share with you. We are stoked! As a band, we had never felt so crappy as we did after the first two days. Our songs were not good enough, our sound wasn't good, and we had to fix everything in less than a day. Praise GOD, we did just that. Working literally 12 hours in the studio each day, running songs through our brains at the hotel, we got it done. Prayer Requests Please continue to pray God's guiding hand would be a powerful force in this project. Pray the band would have strength, energy, wisdom, and PATIENCE. It is easy to lose one's cool during this experience. We love and miss you all and cannot wait to share more stories, pictures, videos, and MUSIC!!! Stay tuned for pictures. God bless, Scott and the rest of EA
